This Frosty Morning

It's mid-winter now at southern hemisphere. My place do not have snow but still very cold. Most of the morning the temperature go below 5 C these week and I don't like it as I got to get out of house heading to work after 7am.

As for this morning, the temperature go to ZERO. The only thing that excite me when hit Zero is the morning frost. 

Most plants or weeds were cover by a layer of tiny crystal frost. 

They projected a snow feeling.

I braved the temperature this morning to snap a few photos to put in this blog. Hope you like it.

The last time I updated my blog was back to 2016.... that was like 8yrs ago.

I almost forgotten I have a blog site. Surprisingly my site still alive. 

So here I am.... started typing again. Not sure would I come back again for more blogging after today. Let see how it go from here. 

UBank new App ----> Hopeless

I am a long term customer of UBank and hardly encounter problem with the bank.

I am very comfortable with the old App as it is easy to utilize.



On 1 beautiful day of Jan 2016, I received an email from UBank informing me that the website and app would be updated to new layout. Wow... awesome. Sooooo looking forward for it.

I think I installed the new App (which replaced my old App) end Jan..... Look at the layout ::::



Pretty COOL yeah.... no problem to login and do my standard transactions. No complain !!

Then TWO days ago..... another new update notification came in. As usual, I just run it and updated. Never open it because I no need to perform any transaction then.

DISASTER pop out this morning when I need to make some cash transfer.

NOT ABLE TO LOGIN !!!!!!! 




Reason is SECURITY requirement. Follow the notice... shutdown all the apps in used (which was easy because my phone got a WIPE everything function)
Back to the DAMN USELESS UBank App, login n same notice flash...

NOW I have problem..... what the hell is this "LUX" thing ??? How I going to get it done ??

Common UBank smart arse.... there are many big banks out there implement App to their customers and all of them simplify and user friendly. NOW you introduce an update version that making old man like me facing problem.

NOT Smart mate..... ur bank destiny to be phase out soon.
For next few months, I will stay put as your almost dead customer (going to transfer my fund out) and eventually you will not hearing any word from me.....

My Oppo Problem => Phone won't turn on

Today I have the scare of my life when I reliased that my Oppo R7s cannot turn on after battery run out. Panic and worry for 2 hours looking for solution. Well, eventually it back to normal again of cause.

What happened was I have the habit of not charging the phone although it start to flash reminder of 20% left, follow by 10% and finally 5%. The old fashion brain still believe I should fully drain the battery before I plug it to USB cable.

For this 2mths old Oppo, my previous experience was once it drain and force turn off. The phone will display a low bar sign on screen with notice said battery TOO low. Wait before turn on.

However, this afternoon when I connected it to the cable. Nothing happen. YES. NOTHING !! Like the phone is a plastic or wood. Since the battery is in build to the phone body, I am not able to execute my normal action on the old Samsung Galaxy -> Removed the back cover and pull out the battery then put back.

What I can do then was left the phone in charging position at the same time surf the Oppo Community forum. Surprise Surprise..... there were a few discussion on this strange situation and a few different models being mentioned too.
Experts comment was continue charging it. Later Press this button together with that buttons. Removed battery and their final comment was bring to service centre if all fail.

Of cos I already did all these press, shake, knock, throw, left inside rice container etc etc.
What to do, look for the box and receipt. All ready to ship back to the place I bought the phone (which is 8hrs away by air)

Just as all this in progress, I casually pressed the ON button (the phone still in charging condition) and just like always the screen blink and there go my OPPO word appeared and in few sec time... the phone is back to me. Piu......

My comment about this scary encounter =>  OPPO know the phones have this problem and they have to come out with a solution yet.

My Oppo Problem => App force shut down

Oppo Oppo Oppo.... I let go Samsung Galaxy and opt to go for you because you are less expensive and you look as cool  too.

However, just slightly more than 1 month into using you.... now you give me problem.

Since 3 days ago I reliased that my ever busy Whatsapp not buzzing me like always. I only know that I have new message arrived when I open the app.

So what's wrong ??? I think I know... few days ago I was free at work so I began to browse thru the phone setting. I played with power saving option, brightness etc. I suspect I had activated battery saving function which brought to my present problem which is ALL APPs force close after the phone not active for a duration. 

Now I tried to look for this function to set it back to original BUT no luck to locate the function.

My final decision was to restore my R7s back to factory mode. YES... a big disaster for me but if I don't do so, the smartphone will not be as smart anymore because no app running behind the screen when i am not touching it.

So I going to do it now.... folder ... folder ... folder..... ARE YOU SURE GOING TO RESET  ?

YES.

All gone. Time to spend a few hours to setup the phone again.

New Visa Credit Card

Have to survive using MasterCard for last 3yrs because the banks I engaged do not have Visa in their list.

Don’t know why but I am always a Visa person… I reckon the reason could be my 2nd credit card in my early day was Visa (1st was Dines… yeeeeee) therefore I kind of attach to it logo.

Than last month I suddenly craved for VISA again… so there go my project of get a new credit card. After days of research… I found above bank is my favourite. Mainly low fee and got reward points. Put up my online application on last Friday and by Tuesday the card is ready to show off.

I think lot of you agree with me that the design of this card look cool right ? Love it purple colour based term.

Broken Rice

This is broken rice…

before cooking form lar. I started to like broken rice since I being introduced to Vietnamese dishes. They cooked broken rice and serve it with meat as basic meal.

3 weeks ago I bought a small pack of broken rice from grocery but just left it in cabinet. No desire to boil it. Mainly don’t want to take risk. Not sure how it will turn into after cooking.

Well… this evening I decided to make the move… finally. After 20mins in rice cooker… nah… here is the end result of my first home cook broken rice.

Surprisingly it taste good. Like it big time. More broken rice for dinner in coming days.

Freedom

I am living in a big piece of land which emphasis so much on freedom and human right.  So the people here have the freedom to talk… freedom to religion… freedom of thinking…. but of cause no free electricity or water (like in BolehLand)

Among this freedom that freedom… the one freedom that a bit spooky to me is FREEDOM to drug yourself.

Oh yes my friend, the rule and regulation here is the individual have the right to apply drug into their body. For the point of policy makers, it is not so nice to see the druggy poke their arm or leg in the public area with needle SO they are encourage to carry out their business in public toilet instead. Therefore it is very common for you to see such remark show in below photo inside toilet.

So far I have not see these specialist carry out that treatment inside toilet but I know think I will stay there to witness the process.

Btw, distributing drugs is consider criminal in this country BUT it is alright to inject yourself with drug… mmm…. so where these freedom to high yourself come from ? mmmm…….

This fence contractor is not only not skilful in his field, he is also a liar and he took a job with the intention to CHEAT !

I engaged BUILTRITE for my home fencing job in mid December 2012. He get the fence up by the day before Christmas. I spotted many faults along the new fence during long holiday. Rang him after Jan 2013 and get him back to inspect his horrible finishing. He AGREED on the spot that the work were NOT good and he looked “sincerely” sorry for the trouble cause. Promised he will fixed up the problem and put his blamed on the supplier. We end the meeting with him confirm he will replace all the bad materials once he sort out with supplier.

Rang on early Feb 2013. Told me supplier delay replacement.

Rang on mid Feb 2013. Said materials ready, will be back next week to do the work. Never turn up as promised. Rang Rang Rang. Finally answered. He seriously sick. Hospitalised. Sorry. Back next week which is first week of March 2013.

As expected, never turn up. Rang Rang Rang. Finally he answer. Sorry. Too many new jobs, however this time he free on next week. Sure will settle my fence. Mid March passed, my fence still look horrible but BUILTRITE still not back to fix it.

From 27 March onward I began to ring the contractor. This time NO good. ADAM WILDON decided game over, no more spare time to give empty schedule to me.  He will never pick up the phone from now onward. Just in case he too busy, I text him with hope he will read but of cause no respond. I also dropped him an email for solution and same treatment. SILENCE.

By this stage, I know I will never have him back to fix the fence which kind of sore to viewer eyes. I also know I can’t do much on BUILTRITE as I already did the full payment upon completion of the work.

I put up this posting with the intention to warm others from falling into same situation like mine especially if you are talking with BUILTRITE now for your home.

Almost the faults of the fence built by BUILTRITE are :

1) Cheap panel woods (thin and rough)

2) Uneven over lapping between each piece of wood

3) Huge gap along the fence due to the woods not lay properly.

4) Bottom support woods drop off easily

5) Large holes on woods

Cute Oreo

Saw this new Oreo in supermarket yesterday…. 100s & 1000s…. not sure what it mean but love the colorful package so grabbed one to counter n paid.

Not sure how it taste yet…..mmmm… should I have it for tea break ?

A Dust Pan !!!

To continue blogging or stop forever ?

This is the question ongoing popping up in my mind since I stop posting all my rubbish information. At time I feel kind of empty without having fun here but I also found more time to do my other stuffs if I stop blogging.

I have no conclusion yet on continue my regular posting but at least told myself it’s alright to occasionally drop in for a blog or two.

So today I have something exciting to post…… nothing other than a dust pan.

Wow….. seriously I need to use Dust pan as an excuse to start a  blog ? hehehe… yes…. look at this new accessories of mine !

It took me more than 2 wks to found this blue cutie. The main feature I need is the open/close ability lid so the dirt will not fly all over the place when I move in the room.

I did came across another similar design but it cost 50% more. Above set only $9.99. Inexpensive UNTIL you convert it into RM… excuse me…. a plastic stuff which cost RM 30+

So why need to convert to RM ???  Nah… this is the reason why I blog about my new dust pan !!!!

#$!@#$  the feeling is kind of mix when I realised that I just bought something from BolehLand….. at that price !! grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

It is very romantic to hear above statement in Hollywood series during the married scene…… Never go apart after married… right ?  Which not true in real life as 50% of couple got divorced and hate each other to death.

Was very excited when I saw below promotion poster on street today…

Not romantic at all but how great it is if we can die during party right ? hehehehe

Sun Flower soon

Ever cool sunny spring gone weeks ago and it was replaced by the super hot summer. BURN !!!!!!

Don’t really like it and going to put up with it for another 4-5 wks… the only thing that pleased me for this period is the gorgeous sun flower.

The one show on this photo just a flower bud… not fully blossom yet…. going to enjoy this beautiful flower on next few days.

Best time to top up Petro tank

Today I going to blog on the same old subject again…  Is there any different to top up your vehicle petro tank at warm day time compare to cold early morning ?

For very long time, I choose to pump petro in early morning because I believe the theory of I can obtain the maximum value of the quantity of petro during this period.

Not agree with me on this theory ? I got fact now.

Yesterday afternoon (temp about 35C) I top up to full tank of my little car. The next morning when I reached office for work, the meter shown 95% full. Cool !!!

By the time I finished work, the outdoor temp shot up to 43C…. burning hot. Jump into my car….. start engine…. ehhhhh… the meter on the display show that I have above 100% fuel. I know it is not possible but for a period of time I forget the logic of petro expend on size when the surrounding is hot. It took the stupid me awhile to come to the early mentioned conclusion. This mean from next week onward I will not pump petro on day time… instead, I will schedule extra 10mins get out from home to work on my topup day. Be the early bird in petro station. weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
