Australia Football (Footy) is not an easy game to play or enjoy but once you get into it, you will turn instant fan.
1st, they need really fit/well build players and big team for a club. Each side consist of 18 boys when on the field (than still got spare players at the side)
2nd, the game move very fast and very bloody. Injury with blood all over face + break here crack there is on weekly basic.
3rd is the main reason for me to get hook into footy. The rule of the game. Players are allow to use both legs and hands when on the field. The crash at each others. Throw body into opponent. Tackle the ball allow to push or pull and a lot of very interesting rules which make footy so different than other games.
Last weekend footy have produced another stunning picture of a famous player, Andrew Walker (from Carlton team) flied high into the air in order to secure the ball.
What he need to do was jump high above the opponent player and used his shoulder to push him higher to the air to grab the ball. When I watched it on TV screen…. I just asked myself, POSSIBLE ?
Yeah… that is FOOTY !

David, the official name for Footy is Australia Football League (AFL).
They are a huge thing in Victoria (a state) Just like baseball in US.
