The first red packet I got from local bank is from Public Bank. Mainly due to my company have an account with them so I have the priorty. I also have houseloan accounts with this bank.
The give away 2 type of Ang Pow... the one on the left is long type but not so many, I had to exercise my influence to get it.
Mum like the short design because she said she can put small note in the packet and still dont look that petty.
Maybank, my all time favorite bank and also Malaysia biggest bank came with below design.
Not too big deal.... they added a slight creative touch on the Ang Pow by had the tiger head on top of the character Fook. Ok lah... no coment on this design.
Hong Leong Bank distributed one of less interesting red packet among banks. Look at below photo.... please lar HLB, expected you to do better than this since they are Chinese based bank.
The next one from OUB, non local bank. I see nothing outstanding in their design too.... so ordinary.
I am not sure am I going to search for HSBC, OCBC, Standard Charter or Citibank.
EON Bank have a very colorful design and if you look careful, they have hibiscus (Malaysia national flower) on the cover. For sure it is something new as in the past, designer prefer to use tradisional flowers which related to Chinese origin.
CIMB another big local bank also suprised me with their good taste. Brown + Gold.... they go again red color... different from other but the patent and wording nice enough to maintenance the festival mood.
Today I dropped by at Affin Bank, a small local bank. The guys gave me 2 packets which have different design. Here is the first set :
Very simple right ?
Lucky the next one not that boring.... yellowish + gold .... mmm... with nice patent....
both of them not my favorite Ang Pow though.
Now to show my last Ang Pow Long. ooopp... I suppose to keep the best for the last right but I think most of you agree that it is nothing worth to excited like the rest. I got this one from AmBank because was there to settle Fixed Deposit documents.
Seriously.... it look like the bank give away some old stock which they printed back to 10 years ago.
Okay... There go all my blah blah blah on Ang Pow Long. I call it end here.
