Samsung Galaxy Internet Setting

Below information only useful for Australia Vodafone network user who have a Samsung Galaxy.

I gone thru the horrible experience because Vodafone do not have automatic setup feature online so no self service opportunity.

What I need (must) to do was give Vodafone Helpline a ring and hold the line for 30mins before the customer service guy answer the call. They than lead me thru below step by step manual setup :

1.   On the device, tap the Menu icon (or Applications > Menu).
2.   Select Settings > Wireless & networks (or Wireless Controls) > Mobile networks > Access Point Names.
3.   Press the Menu key and select New APN.
4.   Select Name, enter VF Live! and tap OK.
5.   Select APN, enter live.vodafone.com and tap OK.
6.   Select Proxy, enter 10.202.2.60 and tap OK.
7.   Select Port, enter 8080 and tap OK.
8.   For user name and password listed below, just leave the field blank.
9.   Select MMSC, enter
http://pxt.vodafone.net.au/pxtsend and tap OK.
11. Select MMS proxy, enter 10.202.2.60 and tap OK.
12. Select MMS port, enter 8080 and tap OK.
13. If available, select Authentication type then select PAP
14.   Select APN type > Internet.
15.   Press the Menu key and select Save.

All necessary parameters done by now. Next turn off and than turn on your mobile. You should able to see the 3G icon display on top of the bar by now.
