Fish vs Chicken

I like eat fish….

I eat lot of fish since young….

I miss the taste of fish and I hunger for it….….. not Fish & Chip though… I refer to steamed fish…. Asam fish… fried fish with the head still attached

I hardly blog about cook fish at home because it is too costly. This morning I decided to give it a try. Hang around at the seafood counter for a while but can’t make up my mind which one to buy. The price varies from $23 - $50 with so many type of names which I don’t know what they stand for.

Smart Alex finally I picked this piece of fish (Red color… nice)

 

mmmm…. looked nice right….. wait till you see the price lagi nice. Price tag shown $44/kg…. from the higher end. I don’t mind because my concept was expensive = good ! 

However, I expecting it to weight somewhere around 200g which I am ready to pay at less than $10 but my estimation prove no way close. The actual weight should be 400g because I had to pocket out $17 for it at the end.. ai yo…. damn KUI man !

I will be more more more careful and stand longer in front of the fish monger store the next time I want to buy fish…..

 

Just give you an idea of why I should stay loyal to chicken meat. I bought the above 4 pcs of drumstick and I only need to pay $4 for it. (the price tag for drumstick is $6.50/kg)
