2 days ago I found this Asian restaurant name Kotaraya at St Kilda, the busy street near the beach.
I decided to have my lunch there because of the Kotaraya name, this place must have something related to Pudu. The young lady who took order from me have Chinese face, I played with her the words Kotaraya before place order. In few second I got confirmation from her that she from Kuala Selangor and she recommended me Fried Kuay Teow since I told her I don’t want rice for my lunch.
After 15mins, there come my A$9.90 Kuay Teow. She did reminded the cook (she told me) that this order is from a 1Malaysian guy and have a nasty face (I create this line)
So how the Kuay Teow fair ? mmmm… so so… because this kuay teow made in Australia… not Penang factory… the noodle a little hard. However this smart cook did put in enough chilly to spice up my afternoon.
The giddy me asked for extra chilly before I taste my order…. wow…. very Hiam oh… end up I never finish this small plate of add on beautiful chilly… what a waste !
Thought I found something special so quick quick rang Mummy T… no chance to show off because this woman oh … she already know the name of this restaurant and even pointed out to me the famous dish they serve is Hainan Chicken Rice, which was true because the lady already told me that Chicken Rice is their famous dish in Carlton outlet.
I already plan to return back to this restaurant next week, most likely on Tue to have a take away on Nasi Lemak. It look nice at the photo.
