How many newspapers you read in a day ? 
Me…. at least 1, sometime I can have up to 3 copies from different publishers. 
All of them are free weekday newspaper which I can easily pickup at office buildings, petro stations or banks.
The Malay Mail used to be paid paper. It only appeared in news stand after 2pm. They consist of latest news and lot of gossip stuffs. Due to the strong competition, they turn FREE end of 2009.
So far the distribution arrangement is not so good. I fail to secure a copy in daily basic… maybe 2 out of 5 attempt.
The main distribution points is Esso/Mobile station, Maybank.
Oriental Daily News is not really a free newspaper yet but I knew a few office buildings in town where I can pickup a free copy at morning. I started to browser through this papers since 2 weeks ago. I don’t enjoy the news report because too many translation names which confuse me. I focus more on the the information segments and celebrity gossips. 
The Sun, the king of free newspaper in 1Malaysia. I am one of the loyal reader of The Sun for last few years. Not much time waste in reading non-sense news as they only print hot topics. Loved the way they disclosed politicians dirty tricks and stupid decision. 
The sport segment also great… lot of international action instead of local boring sport news.
I can’t remember when was the last time I pocket out my precious few cents to purchase the big big deal national newspaper 
Don’t talk about the not so cheap amount i have to pay but just looking at the 1st few pages of the report already bored me. They are full with government slogans and politicians talk… empty talk…. bias report ..etc
